Routine treatment methods for VAC (NPTW)
VSD negative pressure closed drainage treatment is a new trauma treatment approach developed in the past decade. Closed negative pressure drainage (Vaccum Sealing Drainage) has been applied and developed clinically. This therapy helps improve local blood flow, reduce tissue edema, reduce bacterial populations and promote granulation growth. Below is about the routine treatment methods:
First, strictly clean the innovation area，stop bleeding completely and minimize the range of skin and soft tissue defects. Second, cover the dressing on the wound surface, trim the dressing and suture in the shape of the wound bed (Note: dressings can be cut arbitrarily). Third, close wounds and dressings with semi-permeable medical film, close the edge with the surrounding skin and become a closed wound. Fourth, open a hole on semi-permeable biofilm, then connect our unique flat suction pad and tubing, link the suction pad to our negative pressure wound therapy units, and turn on the device to start treatment.
Negative pressure attraction is regularly applied for 5~7 days, then the dressings and semi-permeable medical film should replaced.
Effective negative pressure under seal must be maintained during VAC treatment.
Intermittent negative pressure or continuous negative pressure treatment modes can be selected depending on the patients’ wound condition.
Filfiltrzing tissue fluid through the dressing, keep tissue cells on active adsorption tissue, the inactive tissue cells and fluid are sucked out through the tubes.
Keep the wound clean and fresh, accelerate blood circulation, quickly grow fresh granulation tissue , high survival rate after skin grafting, these are the advantages of the innovative therapy.
